Do I really need a US FDA Agent?
Yes. Any foreign establishment that manufactures, processes, packs or holds FDA-regulated products for US import must designate a US Agent as its official point of contact with the FDA.
What are the responsibilities of a US Agent?
The US Agent acts as the FDA's correspondent for your facility — answering inquiries, assisting with scheduling inspections, and relaying communications between you and the agency.
How long does registration take?
Initial FURLS registration is typically completed within a few business days once we have your facility details and DUNS number. We confirm the registration number back to you.
What is a biennial renewal?
Food facility registrations must be renewed with the FDA every even-numbered year between October 1 and December 31. We track that window for every facility and renew before it closes.
What is Prior Notice?
Before food is imported into the US, the FDA must receive advance Prior Notice of the shipment — with a minimum lead time that depends on the mode of transport. We file it and track the confirmation.
